Questions about LIR services
What the RIPE NCC may ask for an AS number
The questions that come with an ASN request. The first four are asked in every case.
Two peering partners, with their AS number and e-mail address
Registered IPv4 or IPv6 space that will be announced from the requested ASN
A valid legal entity as the organisation object in the RIPE database: a natural person or a company name
Identification of yourself and, where applicable, your company
Proof of infrastructure in the RIPE NCC service region
Invoices from the peering partners (rarely asked)
Items 1 to 4 are standard requirements.
Can I move an existing ASN or IPv6 block to NovaNode?
Yes. The ASN + IPv6 PA and IPv6 PI products cover both a new request and an existing resource that changes its sponsoring LIR to NovaNode.
Can I request a second AS number?
Only within RIPE NCC policy: a second ASN must have a routing policy that is entirely different from the first. Without that, a request will not be accepted.
